Due to unforeseen circumstances, Parents Council of Washington (PCW) needs to postpone our Fireside Chat with Former U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 5. As the 19th and 21st Surgeon General of the United States, Dr. Vivek Murthy focused on critical public health issues from mental health and addiction to loneliness and he impact of social media on adolescents. In 2024, he published Parents Under Pressure: The U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Mental Health and Well-Being of Parents. Parents Council of Washington (PCW) is pleased to welcome Dr. Murthy to discuss the epidemic of parental pressure and how it impacts our children and families. All PCW member school parents and caregivers, administrators, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. The event will start with a PCW Community Dinner. The fireside chat will be recorded.
