The Parents Council of Washington offers inspired and inventive programs that aim to inform and foster dialogue in the fields of education, child development, and parenting. These programs are available to member school parents, administrators and students, depending on the particular program.
A focused examination of best practices in a particular area presented by leading member schools and attended by parents and educators; we maintain an extensive, archived compilation of peer school submissions on best practices topics.
Each spring, we host a Parent Association Presidents’ Forum where incoming member school Parent Association Presidents can gain insight and learn from the experiences of outgoing Parent Association Presidents, and connect with other parent leaders.
Upper School Student Leader Breakfasts provide candid insight into the thoughts of high school leaders through a confidential moderated forum for high school student leaders from our member schools. Middle School Student Leader Breakfasts are a forum for seventh grade students to talk about issues relevant to them, with a simultaneous forum for Middle School heads, counselors and administrators to discuss their common interests and concerns.
